England’s Handgun Ban Anniversary

In 1997 Britain passed legislation banning most handguns on today’s date in history.  Contrary to what many anti-second admendment advocates say: The rate of violent crime including those committed with handguns has increased significantly.

Every place that has been banned guns has seen murder rates go up.

You cannot point to one place where murder rates have fallen, whether it’s Chicago or D.C. or even island nations such as England, Jamaica, or Ireland.

After the ban, clearly homicide rates bounce around over time, but there is only one year (2010) where the homicide rate is lower than it was in 1996.

Conceal Carry Revolver

Australia’s strict gun-control laws are predictably keeping firearms out of the hands of all groups except one: Criminals.

An analysis of official government statistics shows a spike in gun crime over the last decade, particularly in the states of New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria. A full ban on many firearms was established in 1996.

Molon labe of Greek origin meaning “come and take them” and is a classical expression of defiance from those of us who are adament about our Second Amendment rights.
This is the reported response from King Leonidas of Sparta to Xerxes of Persia when he demanded that the Greeks give up their arms and surrender.
So in closing:  Molon labe to those anti gun progressives who wish to violate my god given rights.
